Vaser Liposuction – Breasts

The breasts are a slightly more difficult area to treat with VASER Liposelection, but for those who have put on weight and may have lost definition and the desired contours in this area then VASER can produce pleasing results.

The breasts are a mixture of fibrous tissue, glandular breast tissue and fat cells, but as we age we see an increase in fatty tissue, particularly if you are overweight. VASER can help reshape the area and due to the ultrasound energy that is emitted it is possible to achieve a degree of skin tightening that can provide a small degree of lift in the breast area. For patients with greater skin laxity, then a surgical breast reduction or uplift may be the preferred option.

During your VASER procedure, Dr Joshua Berkowitz will make a few tiny incisions in the treatment area before inserting the probe. This delivers ultrasound energy into the fat cells, melting them so they can very carefully and precisely be removed with light suctioning.

As VASER is performed under local anaesthetic you will be able to return home the same day, but it is advisable to bring a friend or family member with you to the clinic on the day of treatment so they can accompany you home and care for you in the first day or two.

As it is a very gentle procedure, VASER will not damage the other tissues in the breast and there is little trauma to the treated area, post-procedure. As a result, we find most of our London VASER patients are able to return to work within a few days and more vigorous activities after a couple of weeks. We give all patients comprehensive aftercare instructions and provide follow-up appointments so we can monitor your progress.
